"You have the Cadillac of all indexing systems on the market" B. C. Horseshoe Bend, AR
Our new line of LARGE indexing systems to fit most wood lathes with a swing from 10 to 24 inches! We have models to fit 1.0, 1.25, 1.5 inch and 33 mm spindles NOW including the Oneway lathe, (to fit their 34mm shoulder, order model #WISXL-1way)!
$79.99
The system consists of a 10 inch*, extensively laser
engraved with index lines every 5 degrees and degree marks every 15 degrees, anodized aluminum plate with the appropriate ID for your spindle, with three concentric rows of indexing holes. There are three rows of indexing holes spaced 2 1/2, 3 & 4 degrees apart, (3, 4 & 5 degrees apart for WisXL-1.25 model only). This combination allows the
user to adjust for virtually any position around the circumference of your
turning! Included is a heavy aluminum base with 2 very, very strong, 3/4 inch
diameter "rare-earth" magnets to secure the bracket to your cast iron/steel bed
ways, (base also has a threaded 1/4 X 20 tpi hole for those who wish to attach it
more permanently to your lathe or to a wooden jig), a "dog point"
indexing screw and appropriate threaded jam nut to secure the indexing
plate on your spindle. You may also secure the plate to the spindle with your
lathe's chuck or faceplate. The bracket is easily removed when not using the
index plate. The large indexing plates are now available separately for $46.99 so you don't need to purchase two complete systems to outfit multiple lathes with different sized spindles! See "purchasing" pages.
Customize your turnings quickly and easily just by
aligning the indexing screw to any hole you choose and your ink, paint, router
or carving tools add your personal artistic touch to your
work!
*actual diameter is 9.94 inches ***JET JWL-1236/1442 lathe's motor position will not allow the use of our large indexing system unless placed in the outboard side*** Inquire about a custom outboard system.
