Our latest reproduction for the 13, 14 1/2 OR 16 inch South Bend lathes*! This is that little dauber or quill oiler (*same SBL part number was used for each lathe), that almost every lathe is missing. You can wait and try to find an original on Ebay, (selling upwards of $75 at times!), or just go ahead and get it right here to finish off your restoration or just because you can't stand that little hole on the tailstock being empty.
These are used to place a drop of lubricant onto the tip of a dead center to provide the neccessary lubrication. The old timers used white lead, which a small amount was kept right there in the dauber's hole on the tailstock, (not advisable for health reasons nowadays).
