The #SS3A side supports convert any model to a short, table top/surface plate honing guide. If used with the #SS1 or the older style #SS2, be aware of the position of the detent because bevel angle range on these are only laser engraved from 15 to 45 degrees. The #SS3A's will allow for full 5 to 60 degree travel though.
