Ornamental Shouldered Spindle

This pre-made spindle will help you along!

It is made from "turned & ground" 1 inch OD steel, (.997 actual +/- .001), 14 inches long. One end is threaded 1 X 8 threads per inch.

NOW, with only about 1 inch of thread beyond shoulder and much finer threads using new stock material! The other end has a 2 inch long flat milled on the side to aid in holding a set screw. This version has a milled-while-on-spindle, (for accuracy), removable shoulder to tighten your chuck or faceplate up against. This shoulder NOW incorporates "flats" to enable easier chuck removal!
